Our masterclasses are open to both members and the wider public covering a diverse range of topics. Each is a mix of demonstration and hands on practice aimed at participants of all ability levels. Each is run by an acknowledged “Master” in their field.
21 September 2024: Sculpting the male form
Sue Brelade will lead an introduction to air dry clay and participants will have a hands-on experience sculpturing the male human form using a live model.

19 October 2024: Colour and pigment in art through the ages
Elisabeth de Boer will teach us about the use of colour and pigment in art through the centuries. We will make pigments from earth, rocks and plant materials, and there will be time for some painting with the paints we made.

16 November 2024: Hyper-real techniques
This masterclass, led by Angelo Pizzigallo, will explorie the themes of decorative colour and patterned interiors. Angelo will lead participants focusing on shape and composition using varied hyper-real texture techniques.
