Artist: Nicola Barratt

Brusho: This is a unique vibrant medium that is transparent watercolour, intermixable crystals. My aim is to teach you the pros and cons of this medium and understanding how you can incorporate them in
mixed media, or using them to create expressive artwork.
My name is Nikki Barratt. I have been teaching art workshops in the area for more than 25 yrs. I was encouraged to start on my artistic journey by a very talented local artist called Tony Blain, who now is, sadly, no longer with us. Living in the beautiful countryside and near the coast, always inspires me to paint. I love to capture the smallest of animals to the most breathtaking skies and landscapes, in all media. This inspiration I endeavour to pass onto my students, especially using new media like brusho. Brusho is a medium that is unpredictable, especially when using yupo paper. My aim is to teach you the skills on how to tame it, creating wonderful atmospheric paintings.
