Artist: Angelo Pizzigallo

Angelo Pizzigallo is a professional artist and teacher based in Deal. His paintings (portraits and landscapes) are colourful, vivid and robust. He enjoys exploring the relationship between the place, the passing of time and emotional memory.
In this masterclass session titled ‘The Light of Darkness’ Angelo will lead participants to explore light effects and atmosphere using Gouache. We will look at simple shape making and angle finding in the drawing using: colour washes, dry brush, filling shapes, painting dark tones (shadows and details), painting highlights, light on dark and broken colour mark making.
