As well being a qualified Art teacher (PGCE in Art and Design) with over
15 years’ teaching experience, I initially trained as a Graphic Designer in the
mid-eighties and worked in the creative and communications industry for over 22
years.
In 2010, I took a career break and returned to university to complete my
degree in Illustration and Printmaking with First class honours.
As well as teaching, I have my own art practice using a multitude of
mediums.
I am fortunate enough to have exhibited several times in London such as at
The Mall Galleries, The Truman Gallery and Waterloo Vaults and also in New York.
I have exhibited alongside artists such as Damien Hirst, Barbara Rae, Peter
Blake, Rolf Harris and have worked with the BBC as a featured Artist. I was also a
wildcard for Landscape Artist of the Year 2024 for SkyTV.
With the wealth of my commercial and teaching experience, I now deliver
many workshops, art away days and art classes to range of abilities and age
groups in the public and private sector. I build up a great rapport with my students.
My aim is to maximize student’s creativity by building confidence,
imagination and to teach a wide variety of skills whilst having fun!
Art is my passion and it is my vision to develop individual’s artistic
skills using different techniques and processes and to encourage them to reach their
creative potential.
I adopt a very personal approach which will allow me to maximize
student’s potential and capabilities.
I will actively encourage students to try new things!
I would be delighted to have this opportunity to facilitate and bring an
art master classes to you.
I have devised many inspiring modules that concentrate on delivering a wide range of art skills and techniques throughout the
workshops and classes.
